Bush Finally Tells the Truth!
Since election night in 2004 lying has not served President Bush well. In a desperate quest to salvage his toxic legacy the President finally admitted we're not winning in Iraq as a pretext to deploy more troops and "strengthen" our military. Mr. President you are three years too late. Dispatching more troops will only result in more soldiers dying for a lost and immoral cause. Sadly the only realistic option is dishonorable: redeployment and containment of Iraq's sectarian violence within its' borders. This is disgraceful because our unjustified invasion unleashed the civil war engulfing Iraq today. Sadly, we no longer have any other viable options. Dishonorable leaders such as Bush, Cheney, Powell and Rumsfeld have produced a calamity resulting in only despicable choices. I don't believe in an afterlife. But if hell does exist then Bush and his team deserve to be frogmarched there for the needless deaths they've caused. Deploying more troops in Iraq will only result in more needless bloodshed

And so the occupation goes on. What else did anyone expect? Bush had no other options, in his world at least. If it weren't for politics, he might have kept everything just the way it was (the occupation was going so well).
But, since he had to change "something", the only option was to put *more* troops in. Remember, this man lives in a fantasy world where Iraq actually has a functioning Democracy, an effective government, a new found freedom for its men and women, and a burgeoning police force which will stand up any day now.
At least there are a few Republicans who are seeing the occupation for what it is...
I heard Bush's Press Conference today. One member of the Press asked him why, some months ago, he asserted that victory was at hand and why, now, we are losing and we need more troops.
His halting, stumbling, platitude-choked, nonsensical response was a show stopper. It's good to see George choking on his own propaganda. I think we're going to see more of this Crow getting stuck in his throat. No one deserves it more. He has lied and lied and lied and finally, reality is catching up with him.
