Those of us concerned with intellectual debate rarely get the insight of people on the ground in Iraq. <BR/><BR/>This topic isn't controversial. Condolence payments cannot make up for the loss of a family member. At the same time, if this is one of the few contacts that the military is having with Iraqi civilians, and they're not doing it with whatever human face the military can muster, an opportunity is lost.<BR/><BR/>I appreciate hearing from a voice that I wouldn't hear from ordinarily.
